MVA School Leadership
Jerry Corson, M.A.T, Principal
Mr. Corson has been a successful principal and math/physics teacher for over 30 years, including time at MVA from the late 80’s through the early 90’s. After a long stint in the Northwest, followed by a Principalship at Miramonte Elementary in Los Altos, he returned to MVA in 2012 to teach Math-Physics and serve as vice-principal.
He graduated with a BA in Physics from Walla Walla University and also received his MAT in Educational Administration. He holds administration credentials and has professional level teaching certification in Physics, Mathematics, Religion and Chemistry.
Sara Baroro, B.S. in Business Management, Business Manager
Mrs. Baroro arrived at MVA in 2007. She earned her B.S. in Business Administration from San Jose State University with a minor in Hospitality Management. Her responsiblities include all aspects of the school finances, planning and reporting and risk management. She also has taught accounting and personal finance to our students and has enjoyed working with families as they make decisions in regards to Christian education.
Liberty Camba, Office Secretary
Liberty is the face and hub of the campus, mainly to receive and assist whoever comes in the office. She helps the administrative team, sets up appointments, coordinates calendars and helps the flow of information.
She has school secretary experience in her past, as well as a board membership at Bayside School. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Stonebrae Country Club. Holder of a California Department of Real Estate broker license, as well as Manager/Broker of Record for a real estate office of fifty agents, she brings experience in business, office administration and relationships.
Alyce Schales, Registrar
Mrs. Schales is one of the senior members of the MVA family, joining the team in 1996. She has an A.A. in Liberal Arts from College of the Sequoias. She is responsible for registrar duties including admissions, academic graduation planning, international student registration and is the business office assistant. She also helps students with college prep counseling. She enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite part about working at MVA is spending time with the students and helping them succeed in their academic pursuit.
Troy Baroro, Facilities Manager
Mr. Baroro is responsible for overall campus janitorial, maintenance, campus project management and oversight of the student worker team. Mr. Baroro joined the MVA Family in 2008 after working as a manager in the transportation industry and a supervisor in the construction industry specializing in home and business remodels. He enjoys playing basketball, paddling, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his nephews. He enjoys working at Mountain View Academy because of the students and the diversity in his job.
