The Board works in partnership with the Central California Conference (CCC) of Seventh-day Adventists to hire and supervise staff, implement curriculum, oversee the facility and implement policy.
The Board consists of voting Trustees who are nominated and elected by the 19 Constituent Churches that support Mountain View Academy financially and spiritually. In addition, the Board has six ex-ofiicio members of the Board: Pacific Union Conference Education Director, CCC Education Deptartment Superintendent, Mountain View Academy Principal, Area 2 Pastor Representative, Alumni Representative and the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) Representative. Board meetings are held on a monthly basis and are open to members of the MVA community.
Three standing subcommittees make recommendations and report to the board. They are the Finance, Strategic Planning, and Personal committees. Other ad-hoc committees may be created and dissolved as necessary. Members of these committees may consist of some of the board members and/or members of the MVA community.
